Nokia G42 5G appears on Geekbench with a mediocre configuration
【PhoneAuto News】Recently, Nokia’s entry-level new device, Nokia G42 5G, has been frequently exposed. Now, foreign media have discovered its appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking website, indicating that the phone is likely on its way to release.

According to foreign media obtained by PhoneAuto, HMD Global is preparing to expand its Nokia G series product lineup. Recently, the media discovered the Nokia G42 5G smartphone in the Geekbench database. The phone scored 738 in the single-core test and 1718 in the multi-core test. It can also be seen from the website that this new phone from Nokia will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset (the specific model is not yet known) and 4GB of RAM, running the Android 13 system.
According to previous reports from foreign media, the Nokia G42 5G is expected to become the most affordable 5G phone in the brand’s lineup. Therefore, the parameters are also average, without too many highlights. Specifically, the screen resolution of the G42 5G may be 720×1612 pixels, and it is expected to be available in two body colors: gray and purple. However, in addition to the 4GB version exposed on the benchmarking website, there may also be a 6GB RAM version with 128GB of storage space.

Nokia G42 5G benchmarking exposure
Currently, Nokia’s 5G smartphone business is not a focus. PhoneAuto observed its flagship store on domestic e-commerce platforms and found that the only smartphone available for sale is the C31, which has a relatively average overall configuration, a 6.74-inch screen, a built-in 5050mAh battery, and a rear triple camera, with a price of around 800 yuan. It is unknown whether the Nokia G42 5G will be released in China.
