Extreme Unity Reveals Revolutionary Collaboration Unveiling the First 3D Smart Cockpit on Extreme 01 Aircraft

【PhoneAuto News】On December 14th, Geely and Unity jointly announced that they have successfully implemented the next generation 3D smart cockpit interaction on Geely 01.

Geely Automotive has always been committed to creating intelligent cockpit experiences with leading product capabilities. They believe that the core goal of interaction design is to fully integrate leading product capabilities and present them to users in a form that is closest to human instinct. In order to achieve this goal, Geely has approached HMI design from two aspects: “interaction design” and “visual design”. They have designed the interaction to be in harmony with human natural behavior, making it visible and easy to speak, and following the design concept of “less is more” to create a concise yet high-tech visual effect.

Geely 01 is the world’s first intelligent car that relies on a “pure visual” perception algorithm to navigate complex Chinese city roads without any intervention throughout the entire process. This innovative technology is empowered by Baidu’s Apollo advanced autonomous driving system and safety capabilities. Geely 01 has integrated static map navigation and dynamic perception data, creating a fully immersive 3D intelligent driving map with more detailed representation of the surroundings. This visualization provides clearer lane-level navigation, further enhancing the user’s smart driving experience. Through the large screen inside the car, users can clearly discern the shape of surrounding vehicles, road information, and signage, achieving a seamless animation from start to stop. This refined and context-aware 3D intelligent driving map will bring users a more intuitive and accurate navigation experience.
