Official Disclosure The Most Lethal Yet! Wang Hua Reaches His Breaking Point as Xiaomi's Newest System Ditches MIOS Name.
【Mobile China News】The Xiaomi 14 series will be officially announced in the next few days. Recently, there have been countless leaks online about the new Xiaomi system. However, the Xiaomi executives who know the exact information are bound by confidentiality agreements and can only keep silent. Finally, on October 16th, Wang Hua, the General Manager of Xiaomi’s Public Relations Department, couldn’t hold back anymore and risked being fined to reveal information about the new Xiaomi system in a long Weibo post.
Wang Hua’s Weibo post said: I’ve been holding it in for a long time, always wanting to say something, but I had to endure it due to confidentiality agreements. Today, I have no choice but to break my silence, despite the risk of being fined!

In the note, Wang Hua wrote: Recently, we have witnessed the limitless imagination and creativity of Mi fans. Not only have their photo editing skills made a quantum leap, but their ability to come up with names has also reached its peak.
I see that many friends are lamenting why it’s not called MIOS or MiOS. I believe everyone knows that iOS is already a trademarked system name, so naming something with a similar suffix is legally protected. Any naming with this suffix will not receive legal support and may even face legal risks of infringement.
As for Mina, that’s a name from a long time ago. It used to be the name of the system for our TV boxes sold overseas. Before that, someone had considered using it as the name for our mobile systems, but we rejected it. I first came across the name Mina two or three years ago during an internal approval process. I even discussed merging it with Vela. Now, it seems that everyone has dug it up as the name for our mobile operating system and even speculated that the project was disbanded as evidence of us giving up on a mobile operating system.
About the system being a big chess game, there are multiple projects running in parallel internally. Only a few people know the overall architecture and plans. Soon, you will know. Wang Hua said, “Due to my position and confidentiality agreements, this is all I can say. Thank you for your attention and support. What needs to come will come, so don’t be impatient.”
Wang Hua’s leak

This morning, the Xiaomi 14 series trended, and Xiaomi’s founder, chairman, and CEO, Lei Jun, responded on Weibo: Everyone, please don’t worry. This product is very, very, very strong!
