OnePlus offers lifetime screen warranty for green line issue, limited to India

【phoneauto News】On August 10th, phoneauto learned from foreign media that OnePlus has resolved the “green line” issue that affects some users when using their phones and will provide lifetime screen warranty for affected users. However, this lifetime screen warranty service only applies to users in India.

OnePlus 8 Pro

According to foreign media reports, many OnePlus users have reported an unusual “green line” issue on older OnePlus phones. This problem is widespread across multiple devices, and OnePlus will provide lifetime screen warranty for users of 8 Pro, 8T, OnePlus 9, and 9R.

We realize that this issue has caused great inconvenience to affected users, and we apologize for that. In accordance with our steadfast commitment, we encourage users to visit the nearest OnePlus service center for device diagnostics, and we will provide free screen replacement for all devices affected by this situation. For OnePlus 8 series and 9 series phones, we also offer vouchers to upgrade to new OnePlus phones. Given the current situation, we now offer lifetime screen warranty for all affected devices. Thank you for your understanding and support.

In addition, foreign media pointed out that OnePlus exclusive service centers are informing customers about the “green line” issue. This program allows users to replace their affected devices with newer OnePlus models, provided that they have made their purchases through the OnePlus India website. For those who choose to purchase the OnePlus 10R exclusive to India, they will be able to enjoy an additional discount of 4,500 rupees in the form of vouchers.
