Polestar 4 Production Speeds Up Once Again, Aims to Begin Manufacturing at South Korean Busan Factory by 2025

【PhoneAuto News】On November 22nd, PhoneAuto learned that the Polestar 4 model, in addition to being produced in Hangzhou Bay, China, is expected to start production at the Renault Busan factory in South Korea from the second half of 2025. The models produced in South Korea will mainly supply the North American and South Korean markets. In April 2023, the Polestar 4 made its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show, becoming the second SUV model in the Polestar product lineup. Currently, the Polestar 4 has been taken offline in China and is expected to begin deliveries by the end of the year.

During this year’s Guangzhou Auto Show, the Polestar brand announced adjustments to the benefits for its Polestar 4 customers, splitting the benefits from the delivery price. The new delivery price ranges from 2.999 to 3.999 million yuan, with a reduction of 49.9 thousand yuan compared to the previous entry-level delivery price. In addition, Polestar announced a partnership with Tesla, becoming one of the first partners in China to share the supercharging network with Tesla. The Polestar 4’s official price range previously announced was 3.498 to 5.338 million yuan. The car adopts a fastback SUV design and offers single motor and dual motor versions. The CLTC pure electric range is 612 to 709 kilometers.

It is reported that the Polestar 4 offers a choice between a single motor version and a dual motor version: the dual motor version is equipped with front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motors (200 kW each), with a maximum torque of 686 Nm and a fastest 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds; the single motor version is equipped with a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum power of 200 kW and a maximum torque of 343 Nm. Both versions are equipped with silicon carbide inverters, and the CLTC range of the entire vehicle is 612-709 kilometers.
