【PhoneAuto News】BYD’s new energy vehicles are not only popular in China, but also performing well in many overseas markets. According to PhoneAuto’s understanding, BYD officially announced recently that its new energy vehicles have been popular in multiple countries overseas in October, achieving the top sales in new energy vehicles in Brazil for four consecutive months, with a pure electric vehicle market share of up to 71.7% in October. In addition, in Singapore and Thailand, BYD has achieved the cumulative sales champion of pure electric vehicles from January to October, with a market share of 50.1% in Thailand. In Colombia, BYD also won the cumulative sales champion of new energy vehicles from January to October.

According to previous reports, BYD is not only leading in the domestic market, but also showing strong growth momentum in overseas markets. According to the analysis data of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers in August 2023, BYD’s export volume of new energy passenger cars increased by 37.7% compared to the previous month, continuing to sell well and becoming the number one in national new energy vehicle exports.

Currently, BYD’s new energy passenger cars have successfully entered 55 countries and regions including Japan, Germany, Australia, Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates. As of August 2023, the export volume of BYD’s new energy passenger cars has exceeded 170,000 units, performing remarkably in overseas markets.
It is worth mentioning that on September 15th of this year, PhoneAuto witnessed the production of the 500,000th BYD Yuan PLUS, the main model for BYD’s overseas expansion.
