Tesla China announces recalling 4787 imported Model X electric vehicles

【PhoneAuto News】Recently, according to information published on the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Tesla has filed a recall plan with the National Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the provisions of the “Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls” and the “Implementing Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls”.

Starting from October 20, 2023, Tesla is recalling a total of 4,787 imported Model X electric vehicles produced between October 13, 2021 and September 28, 2023. The reason for this recall is that the calibration range of the brake fluid level sensor signal received by the vehicle controller is insufficient, which may fail to issue a warning when the brake fluid level is low. If the brake fluid level is insufficient, it may affect the braking performance of the vehicle and increase the risk of collision, thus posing certain safety hazards. Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd. has proposed an effective solution to this problem. The company will upgrade the software of the vehicles within the recall scope to version 2023.32.9 or higher for free through Over-the-Air (OTA) technology, correcting the calibration range of the signal received by the vehicle controller. This means that users do not need to personally go to a Tesla service center for the upgrade, saving a significant amount of time and effort. For vehicles that cannot be recalled through Over-the-Air (OTA) technology, Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will contact the relevant users through its service center to upgrade the software of the vehicles free of charge, completely eliminating safety hazards. This undoubtedly provides strong protection for consumer rights and safety.
