Russia bans government officials from using Apple phones for work
【PhoneAuto News】On June 2nd, according to a report from the Russian satellite news agency, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, stated to the media that the use of Apple phones during work hours is prohibited for civil servants.

Peskov said: “It is unacceptable for civil servants to use Apple phones during work hours and has been prohibited.” Peskov pointed out that many staff members of the Russian Presidential Office are still using such phones as personal items. Whether to prohibit the personal use of such phones will depend on the “recommendations” of the intelligence department.

Since Apple withdrew from the Russian market, the market share of iPhone has not returned. Earlier, analysts from MTS Corporation stated that in the Russian mobile phone market in April of this year, Samsung ranked first (with a market share of 26%), Xiaomi ranked second (with a market share of 20%), the realme brand entered the top three in sales (with a market share of 1.2%), Apple iPhone ranked fourth (with a market share of 10.3%), and the market share of Honor phones ranked fifth.
According to the Russian Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, Maksut Shadayev, who spoke at the Russian Internet Forum, because it is not very convenient for Russian users to use Apple phones for payment and application downloads, the future retention of iPhones in Russia will become less and less, and its market share by the end of next year will be reduced by half. Overall, the market share of Chinese brand mobile phones will continue to increase.
