June 18th of this year was JD.com’s big day, as it celebrated its 20th birthday. With the end of 618, JD.com also announced its record-breaking performance this year: as of June 18th, 23:59, JD.com’s growth rate in 2023 exceeded expectations, and many brand merchants achieved impressive growth on this JD.com 618.

Compared with last year, this year’s 618 not only had more participating platforms, but the activity rules of each platform were simple and clear, with a focus on the “price war”, claiming to be the “most generous” 618 in history. Throughout the entire 618, the most “generous” must be the mobile phone industry.

As usual, in the early morning of June 19th, major mobile phone manufacturers released their results one after another. As in previous years, major manufacturers have achieved good results this year. Now, let’s take a look at everyone’s specific performance!

As the “king of generosity” in the mobile phone industry, Xiaomi announced the final results of its 618 promotion: in the just-concluded Xiaomi 618, Xiaomi’s overall channel cumulative payment amount exceeded 19.4 billion yuan, taking the first place in cumulative sales/volume of Android smartphone brands on JD/Tmall, winning 78 first places in AIoT categories, and Xiaomi’s home store sales increased by 27% year-on-year.

This achievement is not simple. It is the highest in the past three years of Xiaomi 618. In 2021, Xiaomi’s overall channel payment amount exceeded 19 billion yuan, and in 2022, it exceeded 18.7 billion yuan. This year’s Xiaomi 618 achieved even more impressive results, with an increase of 700 million yuan compared to last year.

During this year’s 618 shopping festival, Xiaomi officially offered discounts totaling 1.6 billion yuan ($248 million USD), with discounts of up to 3,000 yuan ($465 USD). In addition to smartphones, TVs, headphones, and other products also saw varying degrees of price cuts, with unprecedented discounts. Several popular Xiaomi products, including the Mi 13, Mi 12S Ultra, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi Note12 Turbo, all hit historical lows and were warmly welcomed by consumers, frequently appearing on major smartphone sales rankings. Previously released reports showed that Xiaomi also achieved good results as the top-selling brand on several platforms, with its overall brand influence continuing to expand.

Honor also achieved great results in this year’s 618 shopping festival, fighting a beautiful battle.

During this year’s 618 shopping festival, Honor’s self-operated flagship store on JD.com saw a 66% YoY increase in smartphone sales, while their official Tmall flagship store saw a 22% YoY increase in smartphone sales. Honor’s official website saw a 212% increase in smartphone sales, and their flagship store on Douyin/Kuaishou saw an 88% increase in smartphone sales.

Looking at specific products, Honor’s flagship model, the Magic5 Pro, won the title of best-selling Android phone in the 6,000 yuan ($930 USD) and above price range on JD.com and Tmall. The Honor 90 series won the title of best-selling new Android phone across JD.com, Tmall, Douyin, and Kuaishou. The Honor MagicBook 14 Ryzen Edition won the title of best-selling 14-inch AMD laptop on JD.com during the entire 618 shopping festival. The Honor MagicBook 15 Ryzen Edition won the title of best-selling 15-inch AMD ultrabook and had the highest sales revenue during the entire 618 shopping festival on JD.com. The Honor Tablet 8 won the title of best-selling 12-inch tablet on JD.com and Tmall during the entire 618 shopping festival.

The 618 shopping festival just ended, and OPPO released its ultimate report: the sales of OPPO and OnePlus branded smartphones increased by 156% compared to the same period last year, leading the industry in terms of growth rate.

Compared to last year, OPPO (including OnePlus) has more popular models, and each one is highly competitive. Among them, the OnePlus Ace 2 won the sales crown for Android phones priced over 2500 yuan on the JD.com platform; the popular flagship OPPO Find X6 Pro won the dual crown of sales and sales revenue for Android phones priced over 6000 yuan on the Tmall platform; the new flagship OPPO Reno10 Pro+ won the dual crown of sales and sales revenue for Android phones priced over 3500 yuan on the Douyin platform; the popular budget phone OPPO K10x won the dual crown of sales and sales revenue for phones priced between 1000 and 1500 yuan on the Pinduoduo platform.

In addition to phones, the OPPO Watch 3 series won the top three in sales revenue for smartwatches priced between 1000 and 2000 yuan on both JD.com and Tmall platforms, and OPPO also won the top three in brand sales revenue for smartwatches on both Tmall and JD.com platforms.

Overall, OPPO and OnePlus branded smartphones have won the top three in JD.com’s Android phone brand sales, the top two in Tmall’s Android phone brand sales, the top two in sales at Douyin’s official flagship store, and the top three in the growth rate of phone sales on Pinduoduo.

This year’s 618 shopping festival saw a 100% increase in sales revenue for the iQOO brand, which is owned by vivo. The iQOO official store also won the dual crown of sales and sales revenue on multiple platforms, including the third-party platform for JD.com’s mobile phone brand flagship store sales and sales revenue, self-broadcasting sales and sales revenue for the Kuaishou mobile phone brand store, and sales and sales revenue for the Pinduoduo mobile phone brand flagship store.

The iQOO 618 ultimate report shows that the sales of the iQOO Neo8 series have increased by more than 70% compared to the Neo digital series in the same period last year. Meizu also released the ultimate 618 report in the early morning of the 19th: the sales growth rate of 618 ranks first.

During 618, from the perspective of the Meizu mall, the sales volume of Meizu flagship models reached 378% of the same period last year, performing well. On the JD.com platform, Meizu’s 618 full-cycle sales increased by 500% year-on-year, and at the same time it topped the list of potential brand sales for 27 days, showing its strength. On the Tmall platform, the Meizu 20 dominated the top three on the good review list of 3000 yuan mobile phones for 24 days, and won the top two on the hot sales list of 3000 yuan mobile phones during the Meizu 20 opening period. On the Douyin platform, the Meizu 20 ranked first on the mid-to-high-end mobile phone bestseller list during the Meizu 20 opening period. On the Kuaishou platform, the Meizu official live broadcast room has been the must-see hot sales list TOP1 for home appliances and digital products.

In addition, the Meizu 20 has a high praise rate of 97% on JD.com, and the Meizu 20 PRO has a high praise rate of 98% on JD.com. They also won the TOP1 in AnTuTu’s May Android phone praise list and the TOP1 in Lu Da Shi’s recommended models under 3000 yuan during the 618 shopping festival.

On the morning of June 19th, ZTE & Nubia’s 618 sales report came out.

Official data shows that from 20:00 on May 23rd to June 18th, ZTE & Nubia’s JD.com transaction volume increased by 160% year-on-year, ranking second in sales of potential brands; Tmall sales increased by 200% year-on-year; ZTE Mall sales increased by 175% year-on-year; Douyin sales increased by 220% year-on-year.

Black Shark peripherals also released their ultimate report for the 618 shopping festival: The Black Shark cooling back clip series was crowned the double champion of sales volume and sales revenue in JD.com’s mobile phone cooling fan category, and won the TOP1 in JD.com’s mobile phone cooling fan category single product sales revenue. In addition, it also won 5 seats in the TOP10 single product sales revenue and sales volume of JD.com’s mobile phone cooling fan category, TOP3 of JD.com’s original accessories brand, and TOP1 of Tmall’s mobile phone cooling fan category sales with a price of over 100 yuan.

Overall, this year’s performance is better than last year’s. All major mobile phone brands have achieved good results, but each has its own highlights, and everyone has won first place in different fields.
