MediaTek launches Dimensity 6000 series chips for mainstream 5G devices

【PhoneAuto News】On July 11th, MediaTek announced the launch of the new Dimensity 6000 series mobile chips. It is understood that the first chip in this series is the Dimensity 6100, which is a 5G mobile platform for mainstream 5G devices. It adopts a 6nm process, has an 8-core CPU, and reduces 5G power consumption by 20%, providing reliable and stable Sub-6GHz 5G connectivity. MediaTek stated that this chip will bring better performance and lower power consumption to mainstream 5G devices, thereby improving user experience.

In addition, the Dimensity 6100 also supports various advanced features, such as a 108 million pixel high-definition main camera, 2K30fps video recording, AI out-of-focus imaging, 1 billion color display, and 90Hz-120Hz high refresh rate display. It is reported that 5G terminals equipped with the Dimensity 6100+ chip will be launched in the third quarter of 2023.
