【PhoneAuto News】On June 30th, PhoneAuto learned from the official website of NIO that NIO launched 51 charging and battery swapping stations in a single day, including 29 battery swapping stations, 18 supercharging stations, and 4 destination charging stations. The total number of battery swapping stations has reached 1,543, including 423 on highways. In its high-speed battery swapping network, there are 2,767 charging stations and the latest number of charging piles is 16,367. In addition, Power Journeys has connected to more than 740,000 third-party charging piles.

The 29 newly launched battery swapping stations are located in Shenzhen Luohu Shuibei Maoming Building, Kunshan Oppe Smart Industrial Park, G30 Lianhuo Expressway Zhongmou Service Area towards Lianyungang, Wenzhou European City, Yueqing Jinding Hotel, Nanjing Jiulong Lake Full-Function Service Center, Nanjing Xin’gang Hengtong Avenue, Dongguan Shatian Avenue, Dongguan Hengli Shiyong, Dongguan Machong Youte, and other places.

It is worth mentioning that NIO has built a “6 verticals, 3 horizontals, and 8 major groups” high-speed battery swapping network in China. The third-generation battery swapping stations and NIO’s 500kW supercharging piles have been put into operation. According to official data from NIO, the latest third-generation battery swapping stations have increased their service capacity by 30% compared to the second-generation ones, with a maximum of 408 battery swapping operations per day and further shortened swapping time. In addition, they can also achieve vehicle summoning for battery swapping. Equipped with two LiDARs and two NVIDIA OrinX chips, the total computing power reaches 508 TOPS. It uses a self-developed liquid-cooled charging gun line, which can be easily operated with one hand. As of now, NIO has built more than 1,543 battery swapping stations nationwide, providing over 20 million battery swapping services to users.

In addition, NIO stated that by 2023, it will have built over 2,300 battery swapping stations and over 24,000 public charging piles, comprehensively improving the user charging experience and effectively promoting sales volume.
