The new Tesla Model 3

Motor.no website report

The website compared this new Tesla model, which is a bestseller, with its Model Y sibling model, as well as other models like the BMW iX, Volkswagen ID.3, MG4, Peugeot e-2008, and Renault Megane, among others. In the end, this Chinese-made Model 3 stood out among 50 competing models to become the country’s best car according to their selection.

The tested Model 3

The reason for giving this car such a high rating is because it has addressed the major issues of the previous version. Compared to the previous generation model, the interior quality of the new Tesla Model 3 has significantly improved, giving a sense of higher quality. At the same time, the interior quietness is enhanced, thanks to more sound insulation materials added throughout the body and double-layered glass for the rear doors and windows.

However, the judges of the website pointed out that this improved version has not completely solved all the problems, one of which is the different experiences of different owners. They said that many customers are satisfied with their purchase, but there are also many customers who are dissatisfied. The improved version of the Model 3 obtained first place in the compact family car category and overall ranking. The Model Y ranked first in the mid-size car category, followed by the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6. The BMW iX was named the best large car by Motor.no, while the Peugeot e-208 city car ranked first in the small car category.

Norway is one of the countries with the highest penetration of electric cars in the world, so it is not surprising that many electric cars can win in categories that also include gasoline and diesel models. In the first 10 months of this year, Norway sold over 87,000 electric cars, accounting for 83.5% of the market share. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) had a market share of 7%, while gasoline and diesel models could only compete for less than 10% of the market.
