Deluxe version of Extreme Geek X? Spy photos of the Volvo EX30 real car exposed, to be released on June 7th

Spy photos of the actual Volvo EX30 car have been exposed, set to release on June 7th

【PhoneAuto News】Recently, foreign media obtained a set of spy photos of the new car EX30 under Volvo. According to Volvo’s previous statement, the new car will be built with the same Geely SEA Haohan pure electric platform as the extreme Krypton X, and it is said to be officially released on June 7.

Volvo EX30 Rendering

From the spy photos exposed this time and the previous patent drawings, it can be found that the Volvo EX30 will adopt the design language of the Volvo family. The front face is a closed design, and the rumored Thor’s Hammer headlight is on the test car, which looks like a smaller version of the EX90. The side of the test vehicle’s body does not use hidden door handles, which may be related to the positioning of the vehicle. Although the tail of the car is covered with camouflage, there is a high probability that it will adopt the popular through-type taillight design.

As for the interior, although the spy photos exposed this time did not shoot the interior of the vehicle, according to the interior rendering diagram previously published by the media, the interior layout of the vehicle will also follow the family-style layout of the Volvo EX series, equipped with a liquid crystal instrument and a large-size central control screen, and it will also greatly reduce the physical buttons on the center console, leaving only some on the steering wheel. However, in accordance with Volvo’s consistent attitude towards environmental protection, the new car’s interior may use some environmentally friendly and skin-friendly materials.

Regarding power, the Volvo EX30, based on the SEA Haohan architecture, may offer two versions of the model: a single-motor rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor four-wheel drive. For reference, the single-motor and dual-motor versions of the similarly positioned Jike X have power outputs of 200 kW and 315 kW, respectively, with 0-100 km/h acceleration times of 5.8 seconds and 3.7 seconds.

Previously, Volvo CEO Jim Rowan described this small SUV as “a city car for young users” in an interview with the media. In Rowan’s view, due to its lower price and better handling, this new car will become the first Volvo for young people.
