【PhoneAuto News】On May 18th, PhoneAuto learned from NIO officials that the official NIO store will open the upgrade of the central control module for the 2022 ET7 at 10:00 on May 31st. The first batch of 500 sets will be sold for 1,980 yuan and can support up to 10,000 NIO points payment. Users can pay a deposit of 1,000 yuan (supporting point payment) after the module is listed on the store and pay the final payment after installation.

The NIO central control module upgrade includes a 40W wireless charging board, Karuun renewable rattan wood decorative panel with meteorite chrome decoration, micro switch, side soft bag covering, cup holder, support, etc. After the upgrade is completed, the 2022 ET7 is consistent with the 2023 model in terms of in-vehicle hardware. The first batch of NIO central control modules will be sold in 500 sets, and stocking and installation will be based on factors such as deposit payment order, vehicle interior material and color. The official said that the normal central control module upgrade is expected to be completed within one month, and the installation time is about one day (excluding pick-up and delivery time).

Regarding this upgrade, NIO stated that users can pay a deposit of 1,000 yuan (can be paid with points) after the module is listed on the store, and the deposit can be used to offset the final payment. The deposit can be refunded before the final payment is made; after the final payment is made, the deposit and final payment cannot be refunded. At the same time, NIO will provide free pick-up and delivery services.

NIO officials also gave an answer: the upgrade will not affect the vehicle’s warranty. If the vehicle is within the warranty period, the original parts’ warranty rights will continue to be executed; if the original parts enjoy a lifetime warranty, the upgraded accessories can continue to enjoy the lifetime warranty rights. Once the warranty period has passed, the responsibility for package repair can continue to be borne by the service worry-free package.
