Tengshi D9 DM-i to release new version with longer battery life, 50-190km range

【PhoneAuto News】Recently, according to PhoneAuto, Zhao Changjiang, the general manager of the sales division of Tengshi, stated on social media that through user research, we found that some car owners have a daily driving distance of around 80km. Therefore, in order to provide better products and services to more customers, we plan to add a range version between 50km and 190km for the DM-i model, which will be equipped with 80kW DC fast charging and 6kW external discharge functions, just like the current pure electric model with a range of 190km, and will also be equipped with front seat ventilation and heating. It is expected to be delivered in Q3.

Regarding the configuration, Zhao Changjiang revealed that the new model will be the same as the current pure electric model with a range of 190km, equipped with 80kW DC fast charging and 6kW external discharge functions, and will also have front seat ventilation and heating.

In terms of sales, Zhao Changjiang publicly stated that Tengshi D9 has become the champion of the 350,000-level luxury MPV, and has been loved by more than 70,000 users so far. It is expected to add more than 13,000 orders this month. Tengshi Automobile’s April sales data showed that it reached 10,526 vehicles, with a total of 44,491 vehicles sold. Tengshi D9 surpassed 10,000 sales again after breaking through in March, and has been sitting steadily as the “number one new energy luxury MPV sales over 300,000 yuan” for four consecutive months.

In addition, Zhang Changjiang told the media that Tengshi D9 has an advantage in competition with Buick GL8. “Now we are the first in the level above 350,000 yuan, while GL8 has more than 200,000 products, with 60% of the market share in products over 200,000 yuan, and the remaining 40% of the product sales are around 5,000 vehicles, so we far exceed GL8.”
