Fiat announced that it will no longer offer gray car paint in the future, but the reason behind it is both laughable and tear-jerking

Fiat will stop offering gray car paint in the future due to a funny yet emotional reason

【PhoneAuto News】As a popular car paint color, gray has always been a top choice for many consumers when buying cars. We can often see vehicles of this color on the road. However, in the future, we may no longer see new Fiat cars in gray, at least not from the official configuration, because the company has decided to no longer offer this color of car paint.

Silver Fiat 500

Fiat recently announced through official channels that it will not offer gray as an option for its new cars in the future, but will instead provide a more diverse range of paint colors. Fiat hopes that the absence of gray will become a unique feature of Fiat cars in the automobile market and make it a “color brand” from the “land of color.” In this case, Fiat’s current and future vehicle colors are inspired by Italy’s oceans, sun, earth, and sky.

Fiat held a promotional event for its cars

In a previous new car promotional event, Fiat CEO Olivier Francois explained the reason why Fiat made this decision before riding a silver Fiat 600e into an orange paint bucket. Francois criticized German, Japanese, and French automakers for offering gray versions of two SUV models they once launched, the first-generation Nissan X-Trail and Stellantis’ DS 3. Francois admitted that gray cars are an easy sell because they have proven to be very popular among buyers. Nevertheless, he pointed out that Italy is different from all these countries because the country has beautiful scenery and colors comparable to those in Hollywood movies. It also hopes to make people’s lives more colorful by canceling gray as a color option.

New Fiat 600e

Additionally, Fiat has confirmed the official release date of the new Fiat 600e: July 4th. The reason for choosing this date is because the earliest Fiat 500 was officially released on July 4th, 1957, and the launch of the new Fiat 600e is also a commemoration of this classic model.
