According to official information, smart delivered 4,292 vehicles in the Chinese market in July 2023, an increase of 12% compared to the previous month. The total number of pure electric models delivered in the domestic market has reached 37,044 units. At the same time, in the first seven months of this year, smart delivered a total of 27,702 new vehicles.

In the first seven months of 2023, smart’s delivery data were 3,170 vehicles (January), 3,616 vehicles (February), 5,911 vehicles (March), 4,390 vehicles (April), 2,624 vehicles (May), 3,829 vehicles (June), and 4,292 vehicles (July). In the last four months of 2022, smart delivered 567 vehicles (September), 1,629 vehicles (October), 2,410 vehicles (November), and 4,606 vehicles (December). Overall, smart’s delivery peak was in December 2022, and the delivery data in 2023 fluctuated.

This round of investment will be led by Tianqi Lithium, with a planned investment amount of up to 150 million US dollars. After the completion of this fundraising plan, both Mercedes-Benz and Geely, as partners, will fully support the financing plan and continue to jointly control the global smart brand company in the same proportion of shares. In addition, smart EQ1 has already made its debut in the Southeast Asian market of Malaysia and will be listed and delivered locally in the fourth quarter.
