How to choose between the Model X and EQS SUV? This YouTuber prefers the latter
This YouTuber prefers the EQS SUV over the Model X
【Phoneauto News】The Mercedes-Benz EQS and Tesla Model X are two high-end electric SUVs in China with prices exceeding one million yuan. They each have their own advantages and disadvantages, so which one is more worth buying? Recently, a YouTube blogger released a video on her channel comparing these two cars. After comparing them in various aspects, she still prefers the traditional brand Mercedes-Benz over Tesla.
Tesla Model X and Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV
YouTuber Kim Java is the owner of a Tesla Model X, and she recently tested the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV, which is priced similarly. Although the exterior of the EQS SUV has received criticism from many people, Kim is very satisfied with it. She praised the grille design, LED light strip, and practical foot pedals. Inside the car, she likes the luxurious feeling of the EQS SUV. The ventilated leather seats offer excellent comfort, and the vehicle has good noise control. Massage functions, seat pillows, and a large sunroof add more comfort to the journey. In addition, at night, the Mercedes-Benz’s interior ambient lighting creates a considerable sense of luxury, and there is enough legroom in the rear seats. One major drawback of the EQS SUV is the lack of a front trunk, which reduces its luggage-carrying capacity compared to the Model X.

In the video, Kim said that the EQS SUV’s infotainment system is responsive and provides many useful features. Kim found that the EQS’s advanced driving assistance features are also excellent, comparable to Tesla’s Autopilot. At the same time, the rear-wheel steering offered by the EQS makes parking in tight spaces easier. In actual driving, Kim found that the EQS’s range is similar to the X (about 270-300 miles). However, the Model X’s charging speed is slightly faster than the EQS SUV, and its 0-60 mph acceleration is noticeably quicker. However, Kim also mentioned that the EQS450’s 5.8-second 0-60 mph speed is sufficient for daily life.

Kim concluded that the EQS SUV is a convincing choice for those pursuing luxury electric SUVs. She stated that if it could use the Tesla Supercharger network, she would choose Mercedes-Benz over her Model X, and this could become possible starting from 2024.
