Apple Car Key supports Mercedes-Benz models Use your phone and watch as car keys

【PhoneAuto News】Currently, many new car models support unlocking vehicles through smartphones and smartwatches, demonstrating the increasingly close connection between the mobile phone and automotive industries. Recently, PhoneAuto noticed that the latest leaked information shows that the word “MBAG” (Daimler AG) appeared in Apple’s backend support data, indicating that the Apple Car Key function for unlocking Mercedes-Benz cars has been launched on the backend.

As early as last month, Daimler AG announced that its new E-Class sedan will support the Apple Car Key function. Apple’s smartphones and smartwatches can both be used as car keys for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan. Users can use these devices to unlock, lock, and start the vehicle. Undoubtedly, this greatly facilitates the daily use of Mercedes-Benz car users. Currently, in addition to Mercedes-Benz, some car brands such as BYD, Genesis, Hyundai, and Kia also support Apple’s Car Key function, and relevant car owners can use their Apple phones instead of traditional car keys.
