BYD is ranked as the top Chinese SUV company while Tesla is ranked sixth
【PhoneAuto News】Recently, PhoneAuto noticed that the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers has released the latest 2023 data on the Chinese automobile market, including the top ten SUV companies in the 2023 SUV market. Interested netizens can come and learn about it. Overall, according to the statistical analysis of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in the first four months of 2023, the top ten SUV production companies in terms of sales volume sold a total of 2.25 million vehicles, accounting for 64.8% of the total SUV sales in the country. Among them, the SUV sales of most cars have increased compared to the same period in 2022, and only a few cars have seen a decline in sales, such as Great Wall Motors and FAW-Volkswagen.
Specifically, BYD Auto, Chery Automobile, Changan Automobile, Geely Holding Group, Great Wall Motors, Tesla China, FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC Motor, GAC Toyota, and GAC Passenger Car are currently the top ten SUV sales companies in the Chinese market. Among them, BYD’s SUV sales in the first four months of 2023 exceeded 350,000 vehicles, more than twice the SUV sales of BYD in the same period last year. It can be seen that BYD’s current automobile products are quite popular with consumers. At the same time, Chery Automobile’s SUV sales in the first four months of 2023 also exceeded 300,000 vehicles, not much different from BYD; Changan Automobile’s SUV sales in the first four months of 2023 also exceeded 250,000 vehicles. In addition, the 2023 SUV sales of companies such as Geely Holding Group, Great Wall Motors, and Tesla China are all around 200,000 vehicles.
