The spy photos show that the front of the new car looks quite heavy, and the intake grille will undoubtedly use a closed design. The headlights use a split design, and the daytime running lights look relatively small. The high and low beam headlights are located in the flow channel area on both sides of the grille. From the side, the IONIQ 7 uses a more practical five-door design, and the vehicle’s side mirrors are integrated with turn signal lights. From the spy photos, we can also see that black plastic edging has been added above the wheels of the vehicle, which did not appear in previous concept cars. The tail of the car is covered with thick camouflage, and the specific details cannot be determined. The taillights are suspected to use a vertical layout and are very recognizable when lit. The bumper at the bottom of the car has a certain curvature design, and it seems to have added a silver decorative panel.

Although the IONIQ 7 has a different exterior design, it will also be built on the E-GMP platform and share powertrains with the Kia EV9. Therefore, the media speculates that the entry-level model of the new Hyundai IONIQ 7 may be equipped with a 76.1 kWh battery pack and a rear motor that can generate 215 horsepower (160 kW). In addition, consumers should also be able to choose the long-range rear-wheel drive version with a larger 99.8 kWh battery pack, which is expected to provide a range of about 300 miles (483 kilometers).

Hyundai will also launch a performance version with dual-motor drive, with a maximum power output of 379 horsepower and a peak torque of 699 N·m. This system can achieve 0-96km/h acceleration in about 5 seconds on the Kia EV9. Considering that the Kia EV9 will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year, the release time of the Hyundai IONIQ 7, as its sister car, may also be during this period.
