Previously, Li Bin, the founder of NIO, stated that NIO plans to develop a new smartphone every year, following the same rhythm as Apple. This indicates that NIO aims to create a “boutique smartphone” and not just increase brand loyalty between car owners and NIO, but also to make the NIO smartphone another “iPhone” in the mobile phone market.

According to the Tianyancha App, NIO Mobile Technology Co., Ltd. was established in August 2022. The legal representative is Qin Lihong, and the registered capital is 100 million US dollars. It is wholly owned by NIO Smart Technology Limited. Intellectual property information shows that several patents applied by the company have been published or authorized.

Among them, the patent for “middle frame component and mobile terminal” can reduce the heat on the outer wall of the mobile terminal frame through a heat dissipation structure, solving the problem of overheating and improving terminal performance. The patent for “camera module and smart interaction device” can achieve high-magnification continuous zoom by flexibly adjusting the lens spacing. The patent for “electronic device with adjustable aperture for front camera” can meet the design requirements of device miniaturization and slimness without affecting the aesthetic appearance of the front of the device. In addition, the company’s two software copyrights were registered and approved in March of this year.
