Clearing inventory in disguise! Tesla offers 3-year free supercharging for Canadian car buyers

Tesla offers 3-year free supercharging for Canadian car buyers to clear inventory

【PhoneAuto News】When new energy vehicles were just emerging, many new energy vehicle companies would usually offer free charging benefits for a certain period of time or a certain degree to attract consumers to purchase, in order to reduce the cost of using electric vehicles. However, with the rapid development of the new energy vehicle industry, few companies do this anymore. However, in order to increase sales, Tesla has recently launched a promotion in the Canadian market, where customers who purchase specific models can enjoy up to three years of free supercharging service.

Foreign media reports that in order to further reduce inventory, Tesla has launched a free charging service for car purchases in Canada. As long as you purchase the latest Model S and Model X before June 30, you can get up to three years of free Tesla supercharging usage rights. However, it should be noted that the requirement to qualify for this offer is to pick up the car before the 30th of June, not just placing an order. This may mean that Tesla hopes to reduce its current inventory level to a certain extent.

Tesla stated that this benefit cannot be transferred, as it is limited to the first car owner and is bound to the owner’s personal account. In addition to the Model S and Model X, the Model 3 can also enjoy this promotion, but its free charging period is reduced from three years to three months. The Model Y, which has better sales, does not participate in this promotion.

The slow sales and stagnant inventory have forced Tesla to launch this promotion in Canada, while the United States, which is adjacent to Canada, cannot enjoy such benefits. However, Tesla has previously received a $7,500 tax credit from the United States government, plus a nationwide car purchase discount, which has brought the price of Tesla in the United States to its historical low.
