Recently, a leaker posted a set of photos on Twitter showcasing the protective case of the iPhone 15 Ultra, with the most eye-catching feature being an additional small button on the left side, which may be the previously rumored “Action button”.

The “Action button” refers to a multifunctional button that Apple plans to replace the mute switch with in the iPhone 15 Pro or Ultra models. According to references in the iOS 17 code, this button can be personalized to perform different actions, such as a light press to activate the camera’s autofocus, or a firm press to take a photo. This allows users to conveniently use the camera function of the iPhone 15 without needing to tap or swipe on the screen.

The leaker “Majin Bu” posted three photos on X, claiming that these are green protective cases for the iPhone 15 Ultra. These cases all have the Apple logo, implying that they are official Apple products. However, the leaker also clarified on Twitter, “These are counterfeit products, not official ones.” This means that these protective cases may not be from Apple’s suppliers and may not be real products.

However, considering the leaker’s previous accuracy in Apple-related leaks, these photos still seem to have a certain level of credibility. From the photos, we can see that there are three buttons on the left side of the protective case, with the two larger buttons being volume control keys, and the smaller and slightly recessed button being the rumored “Action button”. In addition, the photos of the protective case also display Apple’s consistent design style, including a soft lining, MagSafe charging ring, a small lip around the camera bump, and the recessed Apple logo on the back.
