【PhoneAuto News】At 19:00 on the evening of June 15th, NIO officially held a new car launch event. At this event, NIO brought a new variant model – the NIO ET5 Travel Edition. The new car has two versions: 75 kWh and 100 kWh. The purchase prices of the whole vehicle are 298,000 yuan and 356,000 yuan, respectively. The price of the model that uses the battery rental plan is 228,000 yuan (the former is a monthly rent of 980 yuan, and the latter is a monthly rent of 1680 yuan). The new car has already started pre-sales and will officially start delivery tomorrow.

NIO ET5 Travel Edition Price

From the appearance, the new car is based on the NIO ET5. Its appearance continues the “Design for AD” design concept. The front face of the vehicle is basically the same as the sedan version, and the iconic split-type headlight design still continues the futuristic family front face appearance. The main difference between the NIO ET5 Travel Edition and the regular version is still in the rear. Starting from the B-pillar, the lines of the Travel Edition have become more relaxed, making the side profile of the vehicle look more fluid, and the through-type waistline on the side also makes the body look longer. As a Travel Edition model, the vehicle’s top is equipped with luggage rack rails, and the vehicle’s additional carrying capacity can be improved by installing a luggage rack.

Looking at the rear, the tail design of the Travel Edition model is more rounded, and the slightly upward small duck wing design combined with the lower blackened bumper gives it a good sense of sportiness. The vehicle also retains the through-type taillight design, which has good recognition at night. In addition, NIO has reserved an electric trailer hook position for the vehicle, which can be used to tow a caravan after installation. The length, width, and height of the NIO ET5 Travel Edition are 4790mm, 1960mm, and 1499mm, respectively, and the wheelbase is consistent with the sedan.

As for the interior, the travel version retains the design of the regular version, also equipped with a 10.2-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 12.8-inch central control screen. The new car is also equipped with a 1.35 square meter panoramic glass skylight, which has a good view. In addition, the design of the travel version also brings larger headroom and trunk space for rear passengers.

As for power, the new car is consistent with NIO ET5 and will be equipped with a front 150 kW induction asynchronous motor and a rear 210 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a total system power of 360 kW. Two battery packs of 75 kWh and 100 kWh are provided.
