BYD to enter Italian passenger car market with four new models

【PhoneAuto News】BYD is not only popular in China, but its overseas business is also expanding. On June 13th, BYD held a brand and product launch in Italy, announcing its entry into the Italian passenger car market. Four models, including the BYD ATTO 3, Han, Dolphin, and Sea Lion, made their debut.

Italy is an important automobile market in Europe and holds a significant position in BYD’s overseas expansion plan. As early as 2013, BYD’s new energy commercial vehicles had already entered Italy, achieving impressive results in the field of pure electric buses and helping many Italian cities to adopt zero-emission transportation. This time, BYD will collaborate with several core local distributors to provide high-quality new energy vehicle products and services to Italian consumers. Five stores will be opened simultaneously in cities such as Milan, Turin, and Florence.

As the first model to enter the Italian market, the BYD ATTO 3 combines safety, efficiency, intelligence, and aesthetics, and is also supported by the Euro NCAP five-star safety certification. In mid-June, the Milan Monza car show will also allow Italian consumers to test drive the BYD ATTO 3 for the first time.

Shu Youxing, general manager of BYD’s European subsidiary and international cooperation department, said, “We are delighted to introduce BYD’s globally leading new energy automotive technology and products to the Italian market. We believe that through cooperation with reputable and high-quality distributor partners, we can provide unique new energy automotive products and green travel services to local consumers.”

As a global leader in new energy vehicles, BYD has a complete layout of the new energy vehicle industry chain and provides a one-stop solution for new energy as a whole. As of now, the global sales volume of BYD’s new energy vehicles has exceeded 4.3 million units.
